Join ATID, JQ International, Reshet Ramah, NuRoots, & B’Yachad LA for our PURIM PARTY! Come dressed in your best costume and enjoy an evening filled with music, an open bar, light bites, and an exciting costume contest hosted by queens! We will also have special programming brought by JQ International to learn about another Persian holiday– Nowruz!
The event highlights JQ’s QJOCSM Programming. JQ is proud to officially expand our Persian Pride programming into (Q)JOCSM (Queer (or allied) Jews of Color, Sephardic, and Mizrahi). According to the Jews of Color Initiative’s study, Beyond the Count, the term “Jews of Color” encompasses diverse identities, including racial groupings, national heritage, and regional connections. We recognize that our previous programming focused solely on Persian identity, and we are so excited to broaden our scope to include Queer (and allies) Sephardic, Mizrahi, and other Jews of Color.
