Dear friends,
We hope you, your families, and your chosen families are all safe during these challenging times. As you have likely noticed, JQ’s transformative community-building programs, educational offerings, and support services have not just moved online – accessible to anyone anywhere via Zoom – but we have also had a record number of events in just one month with people joining us from around the globe.
We’re proud to share that in the past two weeks alone, JQ has hosted ten different virtual programs, reaching over 200 people from twelve different countries across the world.
Every adult program offering has had guests join us from around the country and as far away as cities like London and Jerusalem. Our Helpline (855-JQI-HLPS / 855-574-4577) continues to be on the front lines of support available to anyone anywhere, both confidential and completely free of charge. Standing firmly by our longtime motto – whoever you are, whatever you need, we are here for you – the JQ Helpline is launching our Virtual Community Support Groups tomorrow, and we continue to assist in getting food delivered to community members isolated at home because of their heightened risk of complications from Covid-19.
A special thank you to our board members, lay leaders, community members, educators and clergy who have stepped up to help bring our programs to life, including our weekly Tuesday Lunch ‘n Learn series to anyone, anywhere via Zoom.
JQ is energetically connecting LGBTQ+ Jews and allies through dynamic engagements that are reducing individuals’ sense of isolation during these stressful and uncertain times. As we, at JQ International, increase our efforts for our community, it is vital — now more than ever — for our community to support JQ.
