ABOUT JQ’S HELPLINE VOLUNTEER TEAM

The JQ Helpline is the only resource and support line in the US dedicated to serving the unique needs of LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies. JQ Helpline Volunteers receive specialized, in-depth training and ongoing supervision from JQ’s professional team, utilizing these skills to support every person who contacts the JQ Helpline for support, referrals, and more. This team is perfect for mental health professionals, students, and community members interested in supporting folks in need through empathy and connection. 

As a volunteer, your service will dramatically expand the JQ Helpline’s reach, allowing us to answer more calls, texts, and emails and serve more people every day, every week, and every month. With the world becoming an increasingly hostile place for LGBTQ+ and Jewish folks, your commitment to volunteering on the JQ Helpline shows our community that there are people out there who will care for them and support them no matter what.
